I can imagine, after a particularly violent series of explosions early in the movie, in a less-than-desirable part of town...
(Trunk's office)
TRUNK: Dammit, Hammer! You can't just go around
blowing up half the city!
HAMMER: It was the scummy half, Chief...
TRUNK: Has it occured to you that these people have a Constitutional RIGHT to live the way they do???
HAMMER: All I know is, where there's smoke there's fire, and where there's scum there's crime. For the criminals, it's judgment day.
TRUNK: And what about everyone else? All the innocent citizens????
HAMMER: Call it a pre-emptive strike.
TRUNK: (near-catatonic) Pre-emptive......?!?!?!
HAMMER: We do it all the time to other countries! I just thinking globally and acting locally.
TRUNK: HAMMER!!!!!!!!!!
Any other ideas, throw them out there... |

The scene is a CIA conference room. Agent Hammer is seated, being briefed with the other operatives. An Army LCOL is briefing them on their mission:
"... it's absolutely vital, Ladies and Gentlemen, that we locate these global terrorist cells and bring them to justice."
Sledge pulls out his gun and says to it, "I'd rather bring justice to THEM! What do ya think?"
"Agent, Hammer, please secure your weapon and refrain from talking to it... at least during CIA briefings!" |
